Counselling is provided to all who request it. It is a service offerred free of charge and is done on a person to person basis, or in family groups / couples, telephonically or directly, face to face. Counselling is offered in both Zulu and English. Pre- and post testing as well as crisis counselling associated with HIV/AIDS is done at the Centre.



Additionally, the Centre is a registered rapid HIV testing site for Department of Health. Clients are counselled and tested on the premises ensuring that people get their results quickly. Additionally, in an effort to refer our clients to an antiretroviral site in sufficient time, we do a baseline CD4 count on all of our clients that wish it, so that they know what stage of disease they are at and our nurses can advise, treat and refer accordingly. Clients that are counselled, are given advice on how to live positively, with advice on nutrition and its importance etc.
